Do I have to pay for AnyDesk?
+No, AnyDesk is free for private use and support sessions. You don’t have to pay anything to receive our remote support. Only if you want to manage other computers without limits yourself, you need a business license.
Is this safe?
+Yes, AnyDesk uses the same encryption (TLS 1.2 and RSA 2048) as your online banking. You must explicitly approve each connection and see in real-time what’s happening. You can end the session at any time. EasyData works according to ISO 27001 best practices and all sessions are logged in accordance with GDPR legislation.
How long does a typical support session last?
+Most support sessions last between 10 and 30 minutes. Simple questions or settings are often resolved within 5 minutes. More complex problems may take longer, but on average you’re productive again within 15 minutes.
Can EasyData access my computer later without my knowledge?
+No, absolutely not. Each connection requires your explicit permission. We don’t have permanent access to your computer. Only during a scheduled support session can we, with your approval, establish a connection. You always see when a connection is active.
What do I need to receive remote support?
+You only need an internet connection and the free AnyDesk software (3 MB download). It works on Windows, macOS and Linux. No account, no configuration, just download, install and share your AnyDesk ID with our support staff.
What’s the difference between AnyDesk and TeamViewer?
+Both are excellent remote desktop tools. AnyDesk is often slightly faster and lighter (3 MB vs 40+ MB download). Security is comparable. We use AnyDesk because of its better performance with slow internet connections and user-friendliness for our customers.
Does this work if I’m behind a corporate firewall?
+Yes, AnyDesk works in most cases even behind corporate firewalls. The software uses standard ports and techniques to get through firewalls. If it doesn’t work, your IT department can optionally open port 80, 443 or 6568 for optimal operation.
Can you help outside office hours?
+Our regular support is available on weekdays from 9:00 to 17:00. For urgent problems or customers with an SLA, we also have support available outside these times. Contact your account manager for more information about extended support hours.
