“Data sovereignty is no longer a checkbox, it’s a strategic necessity”

Where your data is stored determines who can access it. American cloud providers with datacenters in Europe still fall under the CLOUD Act, allowing US authorities to demand access to your data. Even if that data is physically located in Europe.

EasyData deliberately chooses Kolo NL3 in Apeldoorn, Netherlands: a datacenter with European ownership, without foreign jurisdiction. Your documents, invoices, and business data remain under Dutch and European law.

Why data sovereignty matters now

๐Ÿ“‹

NIS2 and Cybersecurity Regulations

From 2026, organizations in critical sectors are required to actively manage cyber risks. Management becomes personally responsible. The choice of datacenter partner becomes part of your compliance documentation.

โš ๏ธ

The CLOUD Act remains a risk

American companies can be forced to hand over data to US authorities, even if that data is located in Europe. This applies to all American cloud providers, regardless of where their servers are located.

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ

The EU Data Act strengthens your position

Since September 2025, you have the right to switch cloud providers without high costs. European datacenter locations provide additional protection against foreign access to your data.
